Murray Rode was appointed Chief Executive Officer in December 2014, and brings almost 30 years of experience to his role. Prior to becoming CEO, Murray held the role of Chief Operating Officer at TIBCO, encompassing responsibilities for a range of functions, including Finance, Marketing and Corporate Development, as well as a variety of operating groups and business units. Murray has been with TIBCO (and its predecessor company) since 1995, and has held a number of different roles, including CFO and EVP Strategic Operations. Murray holds a BA from the University of Alberta, Canada.
Matt Quinn leads TIBCO's Core Products & Technologies Group, bringing focus to a broader go-to-market strategy. As CTO, Matt works to create a common, corporate-wide vision for all TIBCO products and technologies, ensures interoperability and consistent architectural approaches across TIBCO's various product families, and provides overall leadership and coordination of product plans and technology direction. Matt has been with TIBCO for two decades. He received his BA in Computer Science and Masters of Applied Science Information Technology from RMIT University Melbourne.
Thomas Been is responsible for worldwide marketing at TIBCO. Under his leadership, the marketing team creatively drives a digital marketing revolution using TIBCO-powered tools and best-of-breed marketing technologies for corporate communications, global customer programs, campaigns, and corporate events to help TIBCO customers navigate their own digital transformation. In 15 years at TIBCO, Thomas has held strategic roles, both technical and sales-oriented, creating some of TIBCO's key customer relationships. Thomas holds a Master's Degree in Physics from the Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis in France.
Senior Vice President and General Manager of Analytics at TIBCO, Mark Palmer holds nearly three decades of experience working in the financial technology industry, creating innovative technology, taking products to market, and building companies. He has extensive expertise in algorithmic trading applications and automated trading architecture development and is actively using his skills to help TIBCO create a next-generation "Digital Business" software infrastructure and analytics platform. Mark has spoken at numerous industry events and is frequently quoted in leading publications, including the Wall Street Journal, TIME Magazine, The Financial Times, and CNBC. Prior to joining TIBCO, he served as CEO of StreamBase, which was honored by the World Economic Forum with one of the most prestigious awards in technology innovation: Technology Pioneers. From 2010 through 2013, Institutional Investor consecutively named Mark as one of the "Top Executives and Innovators in Financial Technology." In 2005, he won an InfoWorld "Innovator of the Year" award and was named to the InfoWorld Media Group's Innovators Hall of Fame for his achievement in event processing and event data management.
Jaehoon Park is responsible for big data marketing at KB Kookmin Card, an affiliate of KB Financial Group. Under his leadership, the big data marketing team is creatively driving a Smart Offering System, which is a personalized real-time marketing system based on customer credit card usage and behavior. Jaehoon has been with KB Financial Group since 2012, and has held diverse roles, including FX Option Dealer, Sales Marketer and Data Analyst. Jaehoon holds a Master's Degree in Business from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in the United States.
Vic has 40 years' experience working within the ICT—20 years working with large tier 1 Australian organizations such as Telstra, National Mutual, Victorian Government and Melbourne Airport; and 20 years with tier 1 international vendors such as Novell, Oracle and Tata Consultancy Services. Vic has managed many large scale computer operations and implemented many leading edge transformational projects in end user computing, web computing, identity management and business intelligence throughout his career. Currently Vic is applying all this experience and knowledge to bring together people, process and technology in a manner that enables more efficient operations, added value for business and an enhanced customer experience.
Andrew May has 10 years' experience in Systems Engineering, MI/MES design, control system design and commissioning within the utilities, process, mining, oil and gas, automotive, food & beverage, critical infrastructure and manufacturing sectors. At SAGE and Nukon, Andrew has had the opportunity to work within a diverse range of industry sectors and applications, which has enabled him to appreciate all aspects of control system engineering and pan-business optimization. Andrew specializes in Business Optimization as part of the Senior Nukon team, helping businesses understand and implement their strategic vision using technology, delivering innovative and awesome projects for customers.
Sanjeev is Managing Director and Head of Global Product Development at Citibank N.A., Singapore Branch. He is responsible for delivering software products, projects and services to Citi's Global Consumer Banking business globally and is a key enabler of its business strategy. An acknowledged thought leader, Sanjeev has a strong record of leadership in driving innovation, integrating new technology, conceptualizing new capabilities and creating ecosystems that rapidly build and deploy software at a global scale. He is also a recognized key note speaker at international banking forums. With 25 years of International financial services and technology experience, Sanjeev has held numerous leadership roles and was instrumental in leading several 'industry first' transformative programs including Rainbow and Smart Banking throughout his career at Citi. He also contributed to the success of the bank's patent on the Smart Banking ecosystem during this time. Sanjeev graduated with a Bachelor of Technology, (Engineering), and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in India, Bangalore.
Michael O'Connell is Chief Analytics Officer at TIBCO Software, helping clients with analytics software applications that drive extreme business value. Michael's passion involves identifying insights with visual and predictive analytics, and turning these insights into actions across business operations—with real-time, event processing. He has worked extensively in many industries, driving TIBCO product direction to address business problems in Financial Services, Energy, Life Sciences, Consumer Goods & Retail, and Telco, Media & Networks. Michael has written more than 50 scientific papers and several software packages on statistical methods. His current book, "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Tables," is published by Springer. Michael did his Ph.D. work in Statistics at North Carolina State University and is Adjunct Professor of Statistics in the department.
